University of Redlands is transforming education by weaving community service into its core, encouraging students to turn knowledge into action.
Through the Office of Community Service Learning, students select hands-on internships with local nonprofits and schools, tackling real-world issues while boosting their own skills.
Opportunities range from coaching youth at the Great Y Circus to learning how nonprofits serve Redlands residents.
The university supports students’ well-being through the Food Support Pantry, stocked with nutritious food—including farm-fresh produce—offering discreet help on weekdays to anyone facing food insecurity.
The Volunteer Center serves as a gateway for students to launch service projects and find ways to get involved locally.
On campus, the Sustainable University of Redlands Farm (S.U.R.F) invites students to grow organic food sustainably, with harvests feeding students and supporting local families.
Recent environmental events and youth mentorship programs further connect students with the community, igniting a passion for service and sustainability.
